Doctor Who theme night at the Natural History Museum

On Friday October 25, the Natural History Museum in Kensington will host a free, adults-only after-hours theme night on the science fact and fiction of Doctor Who as part of its monthly after-hours series called Lates.

The event features the real-world science that inspires the creators of the longest-running science fiction television series that has built adventure around space, aliens and time travel since 1963.

The TARDIS will be under the museum’s six-metre suspended Moon in the Jerwood Gallery for fans to take photos.

Fans can also chat to scientists, meet the Doctor Who special effects team Millennium FX, and discover the science fact behind the science fiction.

There will be a screening of the Doctor Who episode Smith and Jones at the Attenborough Studio. Catch the tenth Doctor and Martha Jones as they help the Judoon to find the vampiric alien Plasmavore in Episode 1 of Series 3 — an appropriate episode to show before Halloween.

Admission is free but you must reserve a ticket. Seating at the screening is first come, first served.
