DC’s meta, sweary superhero series is preparing to launch its second season…
When Titans started streaming on Netflix UK, it was expected that there would soon be an acquisition announcement about its spinoff show, Doom Patrol. However, time passed and there was no sign of the critically acclaimed new series on UK shores. Then, last November, STARZPLAY confirmed that it had acquired Doom Patrol, and started streaming season 1 from 2nd January.
Now, it’s almost time for a second blast of DC madness, and STARZPLAY has revealed that it will stream Doom Patrol season 2 from Thursday July 16th in the UK.
Doom Patrol stars Matt Bomer, Brendan Fraser, Diane Guerrero and April Bowlby, and follows a ragtag team of unlikely heroes, led by their not-so-wonderful carer and scientist, Niles Caulder (Timothy Dalton). Firefly‘s Alan Tudyk plays supervillain Mr. Nobody, a consistent thorn in the group’s side who often breaks the fourth wall and complains about the show’s tropes and narrative issues. It’s really fun!
Meanwhile, season 2 will get underway in the US from 25 June on HBO Max.
