Bite my shiny metal streaming service! Futurama season 11 ten years after the show last aired.

It’s been much-anticipated, with a bump in the road, but the long-awaited revival of Futurama is almost upon us.

The show is set to debut its eleventh season on Monday, July 24th. In the US, the show is on Hulu, internationally it lives on Disney+.

We can expect 10 new episodes of the sci-fi comedy animation, which will drop weekly. Season 11 is half of the order announced by that Hulu in February 2022.

Here’s the lowdown on what to expect from Futurama season 11:

“After a brief 10-year hiatus, Futurama has crawled triumphantly from the cryogenic tube, its full original cast and satirical spirit intact. The 10 all-new episodes of season 11 have something for everyone. New viewers will be able to pick up the series from here, while long-time fans will recognize payoffs to decades-long mysteries—including developments in the epic love story of Fry and Leela, the mysterious contents of Nibbler’s litter box, the secret history of evil Robot Santa, and the whereabouts of Kif and Amy’s tadpoles. Meanwhile there’s a whole new pandemic in town as the crew explores the future of vaccines, bitcoin, cancel culture, and streaming TV.”

The show also boasts an attractive new poster which plays on its tumultuous history.

Since premiering on Fox in 1999, Futurama has been cancelled, released straight-to-DVD and revived on Comedy Central. However, it’s been 10 years – let’s hope Hulu/Disney+ is the show’s forever home!
