The cover artwork for next year’s official Doctor Who annual has been unveiled, featuring Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth Doctor.

The Official Doctor Who Annual 2015 will be published by BBC Children’s Books on 25 September and is available to pre-order now.

Other upcoming books include Doctor Who: The Secret Lives of Monsters on 9 October and Doctor Who: How to be a Time Lord – The Official Guide on 2 October.

Also out later this year are Doctor Who: The Official Quiz Book on 28 August and the Doctor Who: The Blood of Azrael comic on 6 October.

Series 8 will begin on BBC One on Saturday 23 August with a feature-length premiere episode entitled ‘Deep Breath’.
