The BBC has released a set of photos from the next episode of Doctor Who.

Written by Frank Cottrell Boyce, ‘In the Forest of the Night’ airs at 8.20pm on Saturday 25 October on BBC One.

The episode is described by Steven Moffat as “a fairytale, but not in the sense that I’ve tended to write a fairytale”.

The synopsis reads: “One morning, in every city and town in the world, the human race wakes up to face the most surprising invasion yet. Everywhere, in every land, a forest has grown overnight and taken back the Earth. It doesn’t take the Doctor long to discover that the final days of humanity have arrived…”
