Marvel has unveiled a poster for Doctor Strange, featuring our first look at the Sanctum Sanctorum.
The artwork features Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) as the title character in the 14th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which finished filming in New York earlier this month.
Directed by Scott Derrickson (Sinister), Doctor Strange arrives in UK cinemas on 28 October 2016, following the release of Captain America: Civil War later this month, featuring Cumberbatch’s Sherlock co-star Martin Freeman.
The cast also includes Chiwetel Ejiofor (The Martian), Rachel McAdams (Sherlock Holmes) and Michael Stuhlbarg (Steve Jobs) with Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal) and Tilda Swinton (The Grand Budapest Hotel).
The official synopsis for Doctor Strange reads: “Doctor Strange follows the story of neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions.”
