More have been added to the cast of Good Omens, the forthcoming Terry Pratchett/Neil Gaiman adaptation from BBC Two and Amazon Studios.
The big one here is Anna Maxwell Martin, who will portray ‘ultimate demon’ Beelzebub on the show alongside the previously announced David Tennant and Michael Sheen.
Commenting on the casting, showrunner Neil Gaiman said: “We already have a stellar cast, and now Anna Maxwell Martin will be the Beelzebub of our dreams. Well, nightmares.”
Joining them will be Lourdes Faberes, Yusef Gatewood and Mireille Enos as the horsemen of the apocalypse.
“A script this clever, this smart, this current is very rare. How could I turn down playing one of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse???” added Enos, who has been cast as War. “Especially with the incredible group who’s come together to make it. It’s going to be FUN!”

September 18 2017: The upcoming television adaptation of Good Omens, based on the book by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, continues to expand its impressive cast.
We’ve known for a while that David Tennant as Crowley and Michael Sheen as Aziraphale will be leading the ensemble. And we now have news of four further additions to the cast.
W1A’s Nina Sosanya is set to take on the role of Sister Mary Loquacious in the show, whilst Miranda Richardson is going to play Madame Tracy.
Michael McKean, of Spinal Tap and Better Call Saul fame, has signed on the dotted line to play Shadwell. And, more recently, Jack Whitehall will be joining up as Newto Pulsifier.
The show is being made by the BBC and Amazon, and it’s not expected to reach our screens until 2019 at the earliest. Given the cast that it’s putting together, and the writing it’s based on, it should be worth the wait…
