Three new faces are set to become the next generation of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley.
After a long search, HBO have revealed the three young actors chosen to lead its Harry Potter television series.
The story to become a series which will cover all seven books, potentially involving a decade’s worth of filming.

Arabella Stanton will play Hermione Granger, with Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. We imagine three young lives are about to change immeasurably!
According to the BBC, Scottish actor Dominic McLaughlin has roles in the upcoming Sky comedy Grow, alongside Nick Frost and Golda Rosheuvel, as well as the BBC action adventure series Gifted. Meanwhile, Arabella Stanton has played the lead in Matilda: The Musical on the West End stage.
Showunner Francesca Gardiner and director Mark Mylod said:
“After an extraordinary search led by casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we are delighted to announce we have found our Harry, Hermione, and Ron. The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen. We would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who auditioned. It’s been a real pleasure to discover the plethora of young talent out there.”
The production has already revealed the casting for six key adult roles, including John Lithgow as Professor Dumbledore.
The show will stream on HBO Max, where it’s available, including Germany, Italy and the UK where the channel is due to launch soon.
