Answering questions on the show’s official blog, Whithouse commented: “If we found a Being Human spin on faeries or trolls or witches or giants or singing otters, we’d pop them in.”

He continued: “The question we’d have to ask ourselves is, can we do this in a way that doesn’t compromise or contradict our own mythology? What’s our angle on this creature?”

Speaking about the zombie featured in the latest episode, he added: “The reason we felt it was the right time to expand the universe in that direction is because we thought of the Being Human way of doing it. We’d never throw a new creature in just for the sake of it.”
