Brie Larson has shared a snap from the set of Captain Marvel, confirming that filming has finished on this, her first Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, and she is free to head home.
The arrival in the MCU of Captain Marvel – real name Carol Danvers – was heralded in the post-credits sting of Avengers: Infinity War, where Samuel L Jackson’s Nick Fury pulled a pager from his pocket and managed to send a message to Captain Marvel. Seconds later, Fury crumbled into dust as part of Thanos’ deadly snap.
The Captain Marvel movie, directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, will jump back to the 1990s and show us how Captain Marvel came to be. De-aged versions of Nick Fury and Clark Gregg’s Phil Coulson will appear in the movie, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see that pager making an appearance.
Here’s the pic that Brie Larson shared, signifying that principal photography is finished on this hotly anticipated flick…
It looks like Larson wrapped on Friday last week, before journeying home on the Saturday. The shooting stage of this film lasted for 75 days, taking place in California and Louisiana.
Captain Marvel has a UK release date of March 8th 2019. We’ll bring you more news as we hear it.
