Held at London’s Dorchester hotel earlier this evening, the ceremony also saw former Doctor Who actor David Tennant win the Best Actor award for his role in ITV’s Broadchurch. The crime drama, written by Chris Chibnall, won the award for Best New Drama too.

The award for Best Actress went to Miranda Hart for Call the Midwife, while the Best Comedy award went to Mrs. Brown’s Boys.

E4’s US comedy import The Big Bang Theory won the award for Best International Show.
