As we previously reported the second of three 2022 Doctor Who specials, Legend of the Sea Devils, will air on BBC One Easter Sunday, April 17 — most likely around 7:00pm BST.
To recap, the Easter transmission date was first discovered on the Legend of the Sea Devils director Haolu Wang’s online CV.

As with the previous Doctor Who episodes, The Halloween Apocalypse and Eve of the Daleks, BBC America schedule appears to show that Legend of the the Sea Devils will have a simultaneous start in America at 2:00pm EDT.
There you go! ‘Legend of the Sea Devils’ airs at 2:00pm and 8:00pm on BBC America April 17. Assuming this doesn’t (slightly) change, this means it airs on BBC One at 7:00pm. #DoctorWho pic.twitter.com/Zc89BrctpE

The BBC America schedule, which shows a Doctor Who marathon on April 17, contains two slots at 2:00pm and 8:00pm EDT which enigmatically say “TO BE ANNOUNCED”. BBC America typically shows Doctor Who premieres and specials in the midst of Doctor Who marathons and the network has used “TO BE ANNOUNCED” as a placeholder before for The Halloween Apocalypse. The Halloween Apocalypse also had two air times on Halloween day 2021, one synchronous with when it premiered on BBC One and again at 8:00pm EDT.
Written by Chris Chibnall and Ella Road, directed by Haolu Wang and starring Jodie Whittaker, Mandip Gill, John Bishop, Crystal Yu, Arthur Lee, Marlowe Chan-Reeves and Craige Els, Legend of the Sea Devils airs Easter Sunday, April 17, very likely around 7:00pm BST on BBC One and around 2:00pm and again at around 8:00pm EDT on BBC America.
