Cameron Monaghan’s transformation from Jerome/Jeremiah Valeska into a fully-fledged Joker seems to be nearly complete. A teaser trailer and a poster for Gotham season 5’s next episode showcase the final stage of evolution for The Clown Prince Of Crime…

Gotham season 5 episode 12 has been teased with a new trailer, which is simply dubbed “J”. In the clip, we see Monaghan’s Jeremiah in Arkham Asylum, following his trip into a vat of acid at Ace Chemicals.

Jeremiah says he feels “something new, something beautiful”, and then the audience sees him in an eye-catching purple suit, looking every bit the Joker. He’s a bit like mash-up between Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson at this stage.

This next-level evolution for Jeremiah makes a lot of sense, of course, given that Gotham season 5 is the final run of the show. As such, it will chart the final stage David Mazouz’s Bruce Wayne in his journey to becoming Batman.

We’ve already had a look at the rear side of the impending Bat-suit, and now we know what the Dark Knight’s nemesis will look like. It should be fun to see them face off…
