Doctor Who writer Mark Gatiss has revealed that he is writing two new episodes for the show.
Gatiss told CBN Foz: “I am writing for Peter Capaldi – two episodes, in fact.”
The Sherlock co-creator has previously written six episodes, including last year’s ‘Cold War’ and ‘The Crimson Horror’.
He has since clarified: “I’ve been commissioned to write two episodes of Doctor Who. That doesn’t mean they’ll both necessarily be in [Series 8].”
Gatiss also recently discussed the possiblity of the Time Lords returning at a Q&A panel in Brazil: “Every time you go back to Gallifrey, it starts to make the Time Lords a bit too domesticated … if you talk about them as this amazing, powerful force, they’re much more exciting.”
Series 8 is currently filming in Cardiff and will begin airing on BBC One in the autumn.
