The BBC has announced that beloved award-wining actress Miriam Margolyes will voice Meep, the iconic creature adapted from Doctor Who and The Star Beast, a comic strip first published in Doctor Who Weekly.
Margolyes expressed her delight in joining the Doctor Who cast.
“I’m relieved I got to work on Doctor Who before I died. With sci-fi you never know. Thank you for making an old woman very happy.”
The BAFTA-winning star of stage and screen lends her voice to the iconic character in the upcoming 60th Anniversary specials. The first of the three specials is titled The Star Beast.

Ncuti Gatwa will star in his first full Doctor Who episode as the Fifteenth Doctor in the Doctor Who Christmas special alongside Millie Gibson as companion Ruby Sunday in December 2023.
