According to the BBC, the new series of Doctor Who starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor and Millie Gibson as companion Ruby Sunday will air in spring of 2024.
“Three hour-long special episodes of Doctor Who will be available from November 2023, with a Christmas special dropping in December and a new season in Spring 2024.”
Ncuti Gatwa’s first full episode as the Doctor was always previously referred to as the “festive special”. This is the first reference specifically to a Christmas Special.
The BBC is also calling the 2024 series “The 14th season”. This is also a first as they previously referred to Gatwa’s first series as “the new series” and not Series 14.
“The 14th season of Doctor Who begins streaming in November as part of the show’s 60th anniversary, and will be available on Disney+ globally for fans outside of the UK.”

Doctor Who will return in November 2023 with three 60th anniversary specials starring David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor and Catherine Tate as companion Donna Noble titled The Star Beast, Wild Blue Yonder and The Giggle.
Ncuti Gatwa will star in his first full Doctor Who episode as the Fifteenth Doctor in the Doctor Who Christmas special alongside Millie Gibson as companion Ruby Sunday in December 2023.
