Netflix has renewed Ozark for its third season, it’s been confirmed. Jason Bateman will return as Marty Byrd for another ten episodes of money laundering family fun.
Although Netflix keeps its ratings close to its chest, Ozark is widely believed to be a major hit for the streaming service. This renewal should come as no suprise, then, although it is welcome news.
Bateman took to Twitter to confirm the news, sharing his concern for Marty at the same time:
I’m happy for me, but concerned for Marty – it’s official OZARK 3 is on its way. pic.twitter.com/xeGXZxfrjB

Laura Linney is expected to return as PR operative Wendy (Marty’s wife), and the rest of the core cast will surely be back as well. Julia Garner’s Ruth, a young member of a local crime family, had a particularly strong arc in season 2. We look forward to seeing where she goes next.
Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams created Ozark, with the show’s first season dropping on Netflix on July 21st 2017. The second season followed on August 31st 2018. Judging by that form, we’d expect Ozark season 3 to arrive on our screens around about summer 2019.
We don’t know anything else about Ozark season 3 as of yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated as we hear more.
