As the new production team settles into life on Doctor Who, PETA UK has written to incoming showrunner Chris Chibnall, to ask that the Time Lord goes vegan from series 11.

Jodie Whittaker is set to play the new Doctor of course, and in PETA’s letter to Chris Chibnall, it argues that “eating dead animals simply doesn’t fir with the Doctor’s moral compass since, as Christopher Eccleston so aptly said, the show has ‘the central message of love for life in all its forms’”

The letter also notes that “considering all the benefits that eating vegan has for a person’s heart, it’d be doubly beneficial for the Doctor!”.
