Netflix has ordered Santa Clarita Diet season 3, confirming that Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant’s zombie comedy/drama will be coming back to our screens at some point in 2019.

The clip is labelled with a meme-like title, “When two seasons isn’t enough.” It shows Barrymore’s Sheila Hammond and Olyphant’s Joel Hammond having a quick look into their future, which apparently includes a lot of people saying the word “more”. Both of the show’s protagonists look pretty pleased with what’s ahead, grinning to the camera at the end of the clip. “Look at it,” says Olyphant. To which Barrymore replies, “Yeah!”
Except for people saying “more”, we don’t know much about what the Santa Clarita Diet season 3 story will entail. Of course, it seems safe to assume that Shiela’s ongoing addiction to eating human flesh will probably play a part.
As for the Santa Clarita Diet season 3 release date, all we know at this stage is that the entirety of the new season will arrive on Netflix at some point in 2019. Season 1 landed in February and season 2 in March, so sometime around then seems like a good estimate for season 3’s drop on Netflix.
