The upcoming Sherlock special is now available to pre-order on DVD and Blu-ray.

Written by the show’s co-creators, Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, the one-off special is expected to air on BBC One this Christmas and will also receive a limited release in cinemas.

The DVD and Blu-ray will include over 30 minutes of exclusive footage.

Andrew Moultrie, Director of BBC Worldwide Consumer Products and Publishing, commented: “With Sherlock fans ravenous for updates on the much loved series and eager to pick-up clues from Comic-Con on what the special may have in store, we felt now would be the perfect time to open the pre-order window to excited fans eager to ensure latest Sherlock has a place among their collection.”

Set in Victorian London in 1895, the episode sees Benedict Cumberbatch return as Sherlock Holmes, alongside Martin Freeman as John Watson and Amanda Abbington as Mary Watson.
