Though International Friendship Day is on July 30, the Intergalactic Friendship Day panel, moderated by TVLine staff editor Keisha Hatchett, will be held on Saturday, 27 July, 5:30-6:30pm in Room 6A at the San Diego Convention Center in California.
According to Variety, Star Trek and Doctor Who will headline a gallery experience in the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego during Comic-Con July 25-28. The experience will feature original costumes and props from both franchises, along with photo opportunities and friendship bracelet giveaways under the banner “Friendship is Universal”.
Both science fiction shows were launched on broadcast television in the 1960s. New Doctor Who starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor can be streamed on iPlayer in the UK and Ireland and Disney+ everywhere else while Star Trek and its spin-offs can be streamed on Paramount+.
