Seth MacFarlane’s affectionate tribute to Star Trek lands in the UK in December…
A new American show that’s generated lots of debate is Seth MacFarlane’s Star Trek spoof, The Orville. And whilst the initial response was very mixed, over the past few weeks, word from the States is that this is a show that’s found its feet. In fact, to the point of being a decent Star Trek series in its own right.
The show has been running for a good few weeks in the US without any sign of a UK broadcaster picking it up. Until now: it’s been confirmed that Fox TV will be broadcasting the show.
There’s a downside: Fox isn’t planning to kick off episodes until Thursday 14th December. But it’s a surprisingly decent programme this, and there’s a clear amount of affectionate for Star Trek within it. Certainly one worth sticking with…
