Speaking at the Doctor Who Convention in Cardiff at the weekend, which CultBox attended, Moffat commented: “I think Doctor Who fans would prefer fourteen Doctor Who movies a year on their TV instead of one every two years.”

However, he added that if the Doctor was to make it to the big screen then “of course it would be the television Doctor”.

Director David Yates reiterated his involvement with a Doctor Who movie project earlier this week during a masterclass at the National Film & Television School, reports Blogtor Who. The Harry Potter director told the audience that there were plans for a movie to be produced in “2015-2016”.
