Natalia Dyer, who plays Nancy Dyer in Stranger Things, has been teasing what’s in store for the Netflix series’ upcoming third season. It is, seemingly, going to be a frightening one.
Chatting to MTV’s Josh Horowitz in a video interview, Dyer offered this tease of what fans should expect from Stranger Things season 3:
“It does feel bigger, just filming it. I haven’t seen any of it, but it does feel bigger, darker, scarier. It felt like they noticeably bumped it up to a different level this season. So I’m excited to see it, too. I don’t know how they do it, [creators] the [Duffer] brothers, but yeah, I’m excited.”
This chimes nicely with a previous quote. As executive producer Shawn Levy explained to The Playlist, the show is going to a very dark place, despite having some fun pop culture elements:
“Season 3 has a really healthy dose of poppy, bright levity and cultural fun. But I can only promise you that Season 3 eventually goes places that are darker and unquestionably more action-packed than we’ve ever gone before.”
Stranger Things season 3 is set to air on July 4th. Until then, we’ll keep bringing you news as and when we see it.
