Well, nothing could go wrong here.
It’s emerged that the BBC is set to launch a new sitcom, that’s set against the backdrop of Brexit.
Entitled Soft Border Patrol, it’s going to be a three part mockumentary that’s centred on the border between the Republic Of Ireland and Northern Ireland. It’ll focus on a team of people who try and get people across the border with the minimum of fuss, albeit we’d wager not too successfully. Wouldn’t be much of a comedy if it all went to plan.
The show has already been shot and is in post-production. It’s been overseen by BBC Northern Ireland, and Iain Davidson is in the director’s chair. The cast, however, has not been announced.
