Filming has begun on Amazon’s The Boys season 2, and the show’s co-creators Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are already hyping up its return…
In an interview with Collider, Goldberg teased that The Boys season 2 is “definitely better than the first season.” He teased: “immediately, it just looks a bit better, feels bigger, the actors all know what they’re doing.”
Seth Rogen said this: “They already have more resources for the second season. They’re adding more characters, the scope of the show organically grows as the show continues. We just watched, actually, the first episode of the second season this week. It was a wonderful thing as producers. This is way better than I ever could’ve hoped it would be.”
Proving that filming The Boys season 2 will be no less bloody than its predecessor, showrunner Eric Kripke shared this photo of Jack Quaid’s Hughie Campbell, Laz Alonso’s Mother’s Milk, Tomer Capon’s Frenchie and Karen Fukuhara’s Kimiko. In the anarchic style you’d expect, they’re all covered in blood and flipping the bird…

With The Boys‘ first season having done the heavy lifting of introducing the eponymous gang of superhero-haters, as well as establishing the darkly comic cabal of the supes, the show’s second season is now free to shoot off in even more interesting directions.
There is, of course, the matter of the first season’s big cliff-hanger ending to explain. It’ll be interesting to se how Karl Urban’s Billy Butcher and Antony Starr’s Homelander deal with the fallout of that.
We don’t have a trailer or release date for The Boys season 2 just yet, but we’ll let you know when that changes.
