Writer Abi Morgan already has some terrific projects to her name, including the TV show The Hour, and films such as Shame and Suffragette. Next up for her is a major new BBC drama called The Split.

It stars Nicola Walker, Meera Syal, Stephen Mangan and Deborah Findlay, and follows a family of female divorce lawyers, who each have to face the return of their father after a decades-long absence.

The BBC first gave this one the nod in the summer of 2016, with filming taking place last summer. The six-part drama will begin on BBC One soon, and the first trailer for it has now been released. It looks like this…
