Swapping a disgraced knight of Westeros for the Dark Knight of Gotham, Game Of Thrones star Iain Glen has signed up to play Bruce Wayne in the second season of DC’s Titans TV show. Here’s everything we know…
Collider has shared this statement, from the show’s producers, which explains how Bruce Waye will slot into the show…
“After decades of fighting crime as Batman, billionaire Bruce Wayne is just as driven to protect Gotham from evil as he was in his prime. Needing to reconcile his relationship with Dick Grayson, the duo hope to forge a new dynamic as Bruce tries to help his former sidekick and the Titans achieve success.”
Dick Grayson, aka the original Robin, is played in the show by Brenton Thwaites. Jason Todd, another version of Robin, has also appeared in the show, played by Curran Walters.
Batman has popped up in the show before, as well, although we’ve never seen him unmasked. Actor and stuntman Alain Moussi was in the suit for these scenes, and it will be interesting to see if he returns now that Glen has signed up for the role.
Iain Glen’s role is described as a recurring one. We shouldn’t expect to see him in every episode, then, but he will appear on numerous occasions. We look forward to seeing what he looks like in the role.
Titans airs on Netflix in the UK and DC Universe in the US. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
