The next series of Victoria, starring Jenna Coleman in the lead role, has begun filming, it’s been confirmed. Victoria has become one of ITV’s biggest dramas, telling the story of the life and reign of Queen Victoria. Coleman stars alongside Tom Hughes in the show.

Daisy Goodwin created the programme, and the third series will feature eight episodes. Those episodes are set to debut later this year.

Furthermore, we’ve got news of casting additions. Laurence Fox has joined the ensemble as Lord Palmerston, a foreign secretary notable for being a big wayward. Kate Fleetwood, meanwhile, is going to play Victoria’s sister, who suddenly comes back into her life.

John Sessions, Lily Travers, Nicholas Audsley, David Burnett and Emily Forbes are also on board for the new series.
