Screen Nation has announced its 2020 Film and Television awards and among them are Doctor Who for Diversity in Drama TV Production and Jo Martin for Female Performance in TV for her work on Doctor Who, Holby City and Fleabag.
Pearl Mackie received an Honorable mention in the Female Performance in TV category for various roles.
The Screen Nation Foundation was founded in 2003 by independent film producer Charles Thompson MBE, as a platform to raise the profile of black British and international film and television talent of African heritage.
Jo Martin tweeted her appreciation for her nomination.

In 2019, Doctor Who was nominated for Diversity in Drama TV Production, Tosin Cole was nominated for Male Performance in TV Sharon D. Clarke was nominated for Female Performance in TV and composer Segun Akinola was nominated for Rising Star: CREW.
The 2020 Screen Nation Awards, hosted by Raquel Appiah, will stream live on Sunday, July 12. 7:30 p.m. on the Screen Nation Awards website. Broadcast streaming partners are Sky 186, Freesat 171, Freeview 264 and the Vision 247 app.
