Doctor Who, Jodie Whittaker and other current and past actors on the programme are eligible for several awards.
The National Television Awards is Britain’s leading television awards event where all the winners are chosen exclusively by viewers. The results are revealed live on ITV from The O2 London.
Doctor Who Series 12 is eligible in the Returning Drama category.
Jodie Whittaker is eligible in the Drama Performance category for her Doctor Who Series 12 performance.
Also eligible in the Drama Performance category are former tenth Doctor actor David Tennant for his performances in Des and Deadwater Fell, former companion actresses Billie Piper for I Hate Suzie and Jenna Coleman for The Serpent.
Former companion actor Bradley Walsh is eligible in the Presenter category for various programmes he has hosted.
Upcoming companion actor John Bishop‘s programme John Bishop’s Great Whale Rescue is eligible for the Authored Documentary category.
Viewers have until 11pm on Friday 4 June to vote for their favourites in the NTAs.
The National Television Awards will be broadcast on ITV Tuesday, 9th September 2021 from The O2 in London.
