The story of the BBC Wales and S4C drama Keeping Faith has been a hugely successful one, with the acclaimed drama initially screening just in Wales, before getting a summer showing on BBC One in the rest of the UK.
Headlined by the brilliant Eve Myles, the show is created by Matthew Hall, and followed Myles’ character, whose husband goes missing whilst she’s on maternity leave.
It had already been announced that a second series of the programme had been ordered by BBC Wales. Now, though, we learn that production work is getting underway, with an eye to filming the new run of episodes in Wales later this year. That points to a transmission date in 2019, although whether they’ll be the staggered release between its Welsh premiere and the rest of the UK remains to be seen.
More, of course, as we hear it…
