The second run of the new look Leverage arrives on November 16th.
Back in December we were thrilled to see that the revival of Leverage, the heist series which ran on TNT from 2008 – 2012, had scored a recommission.
Now dubbed Leverage: Redemption, the show has continued its format of Robin Hood style antics; staging elaborate cons to take down the wealthy and powerful on behalf of people they’ve wronged.
Here’s the premise for Leverage: Redemption Season 2:
In Season Two, corporate bad guys and dirty dealers are stepping on the little guy in their quest for money and power and the Leverage team is back to teach them a lesson. No matter the danger, when someone needs help, they provide…Leverage.
This time around, their criminal skills are put to the test by everything from a husband-and-wife team running a multi-level marketing scam and a shipping magnate dumping boatloads of plastic waste to a music producer who abuses his position over vulnerable women. This season also sees an old friend of Sophie’s unexpectedly coming out of the woodwork, making her question her choices.
“When people are wronged, we’re here to make it right.”
Fast and funny, the show looks as though it’s maintaining it’s entertaining Hustle-like vibes – and who can resist Gina Bellman’s charming grifter Sophie Deveraux?
Leverage: Redemption stars Bellman, along with Beth Riesgraf, Christian Kane, Aldis Hodge, Noah Wyle and Aleyse Shannon. Guests for this season include Pierson Fodé, Alanna Masterson (The Walking Dead), Anand Desai-Barochia (The Outpost), Steve Coulter (She-Hulk) and Doug Savant.
The show comes from Dean Devlin’s Electric Entertainment. He serves as co-showrunner and executive producer with Kate Rorick. Marc Roskin and Rachel Olschan-Wilson are also executive producers, with John Rogers and Chris Downey serving as consulting producers.
The new season consists of 13 episodes. The first three land on November 16th, with the remaining ten dropping weekly on Wednesdays.
Leverage: Redemption streams on the free ad-supported Amazon Freevee (formerly IMdB TV) which is available through most devices. It also appears as a free channel on Prime Video.
