The co-creator of the TV show Lost has admitted that it’s likely the divisive TV drama will be revisited – and he’s got some thoughts about that.
Talking to TV Line, Lindelof was asked about a new series of Lost, and said “I’ve thought about that a lot”. He added that his hope is that “when that happens, whoever is doing it, doesn’t take the characters from the original Lost and put them in the new one. Because we worked so hard to end that show and to give [the survivors] some level of closure. I know there was some debate as to whether or not there was enough closure”.
He’s certainly right about the last point, with the Lost ending remaining one of the more contentious in the last decade of American television. He confirmed that if a new Lost does happen, that he won’t be involved in it, simply because “we worked so hard to end out story”. That said, “it would be really exciting if there’s another incarnation of Lost”.
