The show stars James Corden, Sally Hawkins, Colin Morgan and Samuel Anderson in its ensemble.
(Updated 09/11/22): Mammals reveals more of its big-name guest star cameo.
With Prime Video’s new James Corden-fronted comedy landing this Friday, the streamer has dropped the official trailer.
Offering a greater look at the principal characters, played by James Corden, Melia Kreiling, Sally Hawkins and Colin Morgan, there’s also more of that starry cameo; although he was briefly present in the teaser, we’re not sure we fully registered the presence of Sir Tom Jones!
While it’s apparently just a cameo role for Sir Tom, we imagine James Corden’s international profile – thanks to his stint hosting The Late Late Show – won’t have done Mammals any harm at all.
All six episodes of Mammals land at Prime Video on Friday, November 11th.

Mammals – teaser for Prime’s new comedy drama from Jez Butterworth
Prime Video have released the teaser trailer for their upcoming show Mammals, from writer Jez Butterworth (Edge of Tomorrow, Spectre).
Led by James Corden (Gavin and Stacey), the series follows the ups and downs of a pair of troubled marriages. The cast also stars Sally Hawkins (Paddington, The Shape of Water), Melia Kreiling and Colin Morgan (Merlin, Humans). Plus, Samuel Anderson (Doctor Who‘s Danny Pink) and Henry Lloyd-Hughes (Killing Eve) also appear in the ensemble.
Here’s the premise for the show:
Mammals follows the story of Jamie (James Corden), a chef whose world implodes when he discovers shocking secrets about his pregnant wife, Amandine (Melia Kreiling). Jamie finds himself hunting for answers with the help of his brother-in-law Jeff (Colin Morgan). Through this hunt, the cracks in Jeff’s marriage to Jamie’s sister Lue (Sally Hawkins) also widen.
In this darkly comedic drama, revelations and secrets come to light as the complexity of modern marriage and fidelity are exposed. In a world of eight billion, what happens after we’ve found ‘the one’? Can we stay true to the promises we strive to keep when, after all, aren’t we all just Mammals?”
The teaser trailer begins with Corden’s character Jamie in therapy…
“If you had to choose three worlds to express your relationship, what would they be?”
Written by Jez Butterworth, the show’s director is Stephanie Laing (Physical). It’s produced by Street Hassle in association with Vertigo Films and Fulwell 73 for Amazon Studios. Fulwel 73 is James Corden’s production company, which produces The Late Late Show.
