A new film celebrates the work of the legendary movie composer.

Now, a new documentary from director Laurent Bouzereau will celebrate the composer’s life and career. Music by John Williams, takes us from his early days as a jazz pianist to his remarkable 54 Academy Award nominations (and five wins.)
The film takes an in-depth look at Williams’ countless contributions to film, as well as his music for the concert stage and his impact on popular culture. It features interviews with artists, filmmakers and collaborators including Stephen Spielberg, George Lucas and Kathleen Kennedy.
From Lucasfilm Ltd, Amblin Documentaries, and Imagine Documentaries, Music By John Williams streams internationally on Disney+ from November 1st, 2024.
It also has a limited theatrical release in New York, Los Angeles, and London on the same date. Plus, a slot opening the American Film Institute’s 38th AFI Fest in Hollywood on October 23rd.
