Vought International has premiered Starlight’s emotional tribute to Translucent — Never Truly Vanish

Thanks to Vought International’s Twitter feed, you can now watch Starlight as she sings her emotional tribute to fallen hero Translucent. And if that means nothing to you, relax. You’ve not entered a parallel universe! We’ll explain…

Never Truly Vanish

If you watched Translucent’s funeral service, you’ll have been overcome with emotion as Starlight sang her tribute song… in the opening episode of The Boys season 2.

Starlight (played by Erin Moriarty) is one of the superheroes run by Vought International in the series, and while we have the inevitable wait for season 3, Amazon has brought us this to keep interest in the show alive. It’s a gloriously OTT piece and very much in the style of the show.

The tweet with the video says:

As the video unfold, we see again a glass coffin in which is a superhero costume with nobody wearing it — Translucent was of course invisible, adding to the surreal experience of watching. The BoysTV account has this to say:

Starlight’s got the pipes but I wish this song would actually truly vanish from the airwaves

It seems everyone’s a critic and you can’t please everybody!
