The Larkins cast has been expanded and now includes Peter Davison as the Vicar
ITV has given us extensive The Larkins cast details, and it’s extensive (as is the Larkin family). They join Bradley Walsh (Pop Larkin), Joanna Scanlan (Ma Larkin), Sabrina Bartlett (Mariette Larkin) and Tok Stephen (Charley Charlton).
As well as Peter Davison (the Vicar), we have Kriss Dosanjh (Brigadier), Amelia Bullmore (Miss Edith Pilchester), Seeta Indrani (Miss Chand), Robert Bathurst (Johnny Delamere), Stephen Hagan (Tom Fisher), Francesca Waterworth (Libby Fothergill), Barney Walsh (PC Harness), Tony Gardner (Alec Norman) and Selina Griffiths (Norma Norman).
Then there’s the Larkin family: Lydia Page (Primrose Larkin), Liam Middleton (Montgomery Larkin), Lola Shepelev (Victoria Larkin), Davina Coleman (Zinnia Larkin) and Rosie Coleman (Petunia Larkin) are also all announced.
The ITV announcement goes into good detail on the show and the history of the HE Bates books from which it is adapted. It was last adapted for ITV thirty years ago and was a huge Sunday night hit for the station, bringing a slice of 50s Kent into millions of homes each week, winning awards and accolades galore.
No news yet on filming or likely dates, but we’re assuming 2022, maybe around Easter (complete guess!) though we’d enjoy seeing it for New Year. We’ll keep you posted.
