Doctor Who: The Power of the Doctor — premiere in London

A press screening of the Doctor Who BBC centenary special, The Power of the Doctor took place on Tuesday evening, 11 October at the Curzon Bloomsbury theatre in London.

Several members of the press attended along with cast, crew, creature actors and social media influencers.

New posters for the special were on display in the venue.

A strange chair with sinister-looking devices on it was among the objects displayed in the theatre lobby.

Cybermen and Daleks kept guard over the screening.

Actors Jodie Whittaker, Mandip Gill, Sacha Dhawan, Jemma Redgrave, Janet Fielding and Sophie Aldred attended as well as showrunner Chris Chibnall and director Jamie Magnus Stone.

Influencers Hzjoe and Tyrell Charles were invited to the premiere.

Janet fielding also answered some questions.

A pivotal part near the end of the special wasn’t shown to the audience. The scene which featured the regeneration of Jodie Whittaker’s thirteenth Doctor was cut from the screening to avoid potential spoilers.
