Prime Target stars Leo Woodall (One Day) as a genius math postgraduate and Quintessa Swindell (In Treatment) as the NSA Agent keeping tabs on him.

The wider cast includes Stephen Rea (The English), David Morrissey (Sherwood) and Martha Plimpton (The Regime). Plus, Sidse Babett Knudsen (Borgen), Jason Flemyng (Pennyworth), Harry Lloyd (Game of Thrones), Ali Suliman (Jack Ryan), Fra Fee (Hawkeye) and Joseph Mydell (Mrs Wilson).

Here’s the setup:

Prime Target features a brilliant young math postgraduate, Edward Brooks (played by Woodall), on the verge of a major breakthrough. If he succeeds in finding a pattern in prime numbers, he will hold the key to every computer in the world. Soon he begins to realize an unseen enemy is trying to destroy his idea before it’s even born, which throws him into the orbit of Taylah Sanders, a female NSA agent (played by Swindell) who’s been tasked with watching and reporting on the mathematician’s behavior. Together they start to unravel the troubling conspiracy Edward is at the heart of.

The series comes from New Regency, with Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions. Brady Hood (Top Boy) directs all eight episodes.

The show launches at Apple TV+ with two episodes on Wednesday, 22nd January 2025. Weekly episodes follow to complete the run.
