Get ready for new leaps and new faces.
Updated 21/09/23: Ahead of the series’ return, NBC have released a series 2 trailer for Quantum Leap.
In the new promo, we get a first look at the show’s two new regulars. They’re Hannah Carson, played by Eliza Taylor (The 100), and Peter Gadiot (One Piece)’s Tom Westfall.
The trailer promises episodes set at Area 51, the Pyramids and even a trip to 2050. Plus a Seventeenth century witch trial and the L.A. Riots.
We read (via Dark Horizons) that the majority of the 13 episodes were completed before the current writers’ strike – and the trailer showcases eight years for Ben Song to visit. Season 1 grew from 13 to 18 episodes during production, so it’s conceivable the same could happen here. Or perhaps the back five planned for this season will form part of a third run when production recommences.
In the US, Quantum Leap season 2 lands at NBC, and streams on Peacock, from Tuesday, October 4th.
UK viewers can access the series via Paramount+, although we’ve no date yet. However, the second half of season 1 only arrived in late August so we imagine it might be a while.

Quantum Leap Season 2 announces two new regulars
The revived Quantum Leap, following the adventures of Dr Ben Song, is set to return to NBC next month.
Season 2 will see Ben’s time travelling leaps take him to historical events in the USA and beyond.
All the show regulars return alongside Raymond Lee’s Ben Song. That’s Caitlin Bassett (Addison Augustine), Ernie Hudson (Herbert “Magic” Williams), Mason Alexander Park (Ian Wright), and Nanrisa Lee (Jenn Chou).
In addition, NBC has announced two new faces to join the regular cast.
Eliza Taylor (The 100) plays Hannah Carson. She’s described as a “complex young woman, who may be more than she appears,” and makes her debut in the third episode of Season 2.
Meanwhile, Peter Gadiot (Yellowjackets) is Tom Westfall, a former special forces soldier and a high-ranking US Army Officer in the realm of Army Intelligence. Tom will take on a crucial role overseeing the project and is described as “thoughtful, centered, a spiritual kind of warrior who both men and women admire, but whose humility keeps him from ever being arrogant..”
The new season promises global adventures including visits to Russia, 1978, and Egypt, 1961 – with the latter filmed on location in Cairo.
Announced guest stars include Melissa Roxburgh (Manifest), Francois Arnaud (Blindspot), Aaron Abrams (Hannibal), and P.J. Byrne (The Boys).
There’s more information on the show’s return, including first-look images, at NBC Insider.
In the US, Quantum Leap Season 2 premieres on Wednesday, October 4 at 8 p.m. ET.
In the UK, you can catch Season 1 of the show via the streamer Paramount+.
