Writer, actor and director Sharon Horgan has rightly enjoyed plenty of success for the excellent Catastrophe – and her work has now earned her an exclusive two year deal with Amazon.
It gives Amazon and its streaming services a first refusal option on any programmes that Horgan wants to make, via her own production company, Merman. Amazon also gets the rights to remake any previous Merman projects, of which Catastrophe is one.
There’s no word yet on which projects in particular Horgan will pursue at Amazon. We’ll let you know when we find out, though.
