It introduces us to the series’ four young leads, showing them discovering their ship, as well as offering a look at Nick Frost’s droid.
We also briefly meet Jude Law’s Jod Na Nawood, who’s apparently a Jedi…
The series debuts with a two-episode premiere at Disney+ on December 3rd.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew – first images and start date
With The Acolyte in the rear-view mirror, Lucasfilm are dropping news about the next Star Wars series.
Starring Jude Law and a cast of youngsters, Skeleton Crew lands on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024.
The show takes place in the post Return of the Jedi era, around the time of The Mandalorian and Ahsoka. However, it’s apparently a good jumping on point too. In a recent feature in People, co-creator Jon Watts says:
“You don’t have to know everything about Star Wars to enjoy the show. You can come into it completely fresh and enjoy the story. But if you do happen to be a Star Wars super fan, there’s a lot for you.”
Here’s the premise for Star Wars: Skeleton Crew…
“When four kids make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, they get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Finding their way home, meeting unlikely allies and enemies will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined.”
Those four kids are Ryan Kiera Armstrong as Fern, Robert Timothy Smith as Neel, Ravi Cabot-Conyers as Wim, and Kyriana Kratter as KB.
The adults in the cast are Jude Law, playing Jod Na Nawood, Kerry Condon, Tunde Adebimpe and Jaleel White.
Plus, there’s Nick Frost as the voice of the droid SM-33. Jon Watts reveals that “He’s like a rusty old, cranky droid that sort of reluctantly helps the kids along the way.”
Skeleton Crew comes from co-creators and executive producers Jon Watts (Spider-Man: No Way Home) and writer Christopher Ford (Chaos Walking).
There’s a way to go until December, but the upcoming D23 Disney fan event may well provide more information. Or possibly a trailer. We’ll keep you posted.
