ITV has announced that Broadchurch will return at the start of next year.
Season 2 will see Eve Myles, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, James D’Arcy and Phoebe Waller-Bridge join the hit crime drama, alongside returning cast members David Tennant, Olivia Colman, Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan and Arthur Darvill.
The new teaser features Tennant’s character Alec Hardy saying: “There was a boy, and he was killed. I caught the killer. So why am I still here?”
Another teaser features Colman’s character Ellie Miller saying: “There was a boy, and he was killed. What happened then destroyed my family, my job and my town. So what do I do now?”
Creator Chris Chibnall commented earlier this year: “As if we didn’t have enough fabulous actresses, it’s a thrill to be joined by Wales’ finest, Eve Myles. Having worked together on Torchwood, it’s a joy to be able to welcome her to Broadchurch.”
