From executive producer Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Marvel’s first live-action TV series began on Channel 4 in September and returned in the US this week after its Christmas break.

However, Channel 4 is planning to wait before screening the rest of the show’s 22-episode first season.

They told Den of Geek: “S.H.I.E.L.D. will be returning to Channel 4 most likely in March (exact date tbc). This is so that we can air the remainder of the series at one episode a week with no more breaks in between episodes.”
