A new trailer has been unveiled for Marvel’s Jessica Jones, featuring Doctor Who star David Tennant as Kilgrave.

Netflix’s upcoming original series is the second of four live action adventure series, following Marvel’s Daredevil, which launched in April.

Starring Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, the first season will premiere in all territories where Netflix is available at 8:01am GMT on Friday 20 November.

The thirteen one-hour episodes of Marvel’s Jessica Jones will be followed by Marvel’s Luke Cage and Marvel’s Iron Fist, leading up to the teaming of the main characters in Marvel’s The Defenders.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones is executive produced by series showrunner Melissa Rosenberg (Twilight, Dexter) and Liz Friedman (Elementary) with Jeph Loeb (Lost).

The official synopsis for the show reads: “After a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases in New York City.”

The cast includes Mike Colter as Luke Cage, David Tennant as Kilgrave and Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker, alongside Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty and Wil Traval.
