A month out from the show’s debut, Disney+ give us a further taste of the famed Bounty Hunter’s spin-off series.
With The Book of Boba Fett due to begin on the 29th of December, once Hawkeye has finished its run, Disney+ have released another trailer.
A spin-off from The Mandalorian, this series is set to follow Boba Fett and his mercenary ally Fennec Shand in their attempt to assume control of Jabba the Hutt’s former criminal empire on Tatooine. Boba himself was first seen in The Empire Strikes Back, with his backstory filled in during Attack of the Clones.
This time, the trailer – which is titled “Reign” – invites us to “Witness the return of a legend”:
Dialogue free, save for the announcement “I am Boba Fett”, the trailer shows off the series’ impressive visuals. Set in and around Jabba’s palace and the city, there are a slew of action moments, including speeders and a bit of parkour across the rooftops.
First Trailer
The initial scene-setting trailer, which was just under two minutes, appeared at the start of the month:
The Book of Boba Fett sees Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen reprise their roles as Boba Fett and Fennec Shand. Additionally, we know Jennifer Beals is in the cast as a Twi’lek, and she can be glimpsed in both trailers.
Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Robert Rodriguez, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson are the show’s executive producers.
Frankly, we can’t wait!
