The new season of Doctor Who continues next weekend with ‘Under the Lake’, written by Being Human creator Toby Whithouse.
The official synopsis reads: “When an Underwater Base comes under attack, the Doctor and Clara must save the frightened crew and defeat an impossible threat. But what is behind these terrifying events? And can they really be haunted by ghosts?”
‘Under the Lake’ airs at 8.25pm on Saturday 3 October on BBC One.
Here are 10 teasing spoiler-free lines of dialogue from the episode…
“Who’s in charge now? I need to know who to ignore.”
“That’s weird. The TARDIS hasn’t translated it.”
“Do you miss being alive?”
“Calm, Doctor, calm! You were like this when you met Shirley Bassey.”
“This base is now under quarantine.”
“This can’t happen! No, no, no!”
“Are you really the Doctor? I’m a huge fan.”
“Hands up who expected that!”
“Well, at least if I die, you know I really will come back and haunt you.”
