What really attracts here is the excellent rendition of the three central characters.
Although modern, authentically chilling stories like Blink and The Empty Child have rendered the majority of old Doctor Who’s attempts at being frightening useless, some of the classic series’ most enduringly spooky moments endure – and here’s a trailer for possibly the eeriest, with the fear factor ramped up to OMG for YouTube’s viewing pleasure…

The BBC has released a set of photos from the filming of this weekend’s new episode of Doctor Who.
Despite critical acclaim, Parade’s End lost more viewers this week with only 1.7m (8.1%) tuning in on Friday night.
This isn’t going to be anyone’s favourite episode of Doctor Who by a long-shot, but it is a fine stand-alone instalment that’s raised above mediocrity by its filmic feel.
