This October will mark exactly five years since Doctor Who Confidential came to an end.
BBC Three’s documentary series accompanied every episode of Doctor Who from ‘Rose’ in 2005 through to ‘The Wedding of River Song’ in 2011, providing a behind the scenes look at the making of the show.
Not only did the series help to inspire the next generation to enter the TV and film industry with a fascinating look at the many different jobs involved, it was also frequently just as entertaining as the Doctor Who episodes it aired alongside.
If you want the perfect example of why it’s missed so much, here’s a classic clip featuring Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill singing “the Doctor Who Confidential song” on the set of ‘Night Terrors’.
